Comments:

The 4 CM 1500 # 1525 has been delivered new to Geneva/Switzerland in April

1934 to its first owner Fernando Barbieri who has raced it intensively until 1938.

There is to mention an amazing 4th O.A. at the Targa Florio 1937 and a 8th

O.A. at the Grand Prix of Monza 1938 beside lots of more results listed below.

There is little known about its early history until it appeared in the Netherlands

at the dealership of Rudy Pas who obviously has sold it to the Japanese

Maserati collector Yoshijuki Hayashi in 1979. In the early nineties Hayashi

decided to sell most of his incredible Maserati collection which included beside

our 4 CM 1500 # 1525 the most famous Maserati like 4 CLT/48 # 1600, 250 F

# 2514, 300 S # 3058 and 450 S # 4509.

As far as we know the whole Hayashi collection were sold through Symbolic Motor

Cars in San Diego, CA and were spread throughout the world.

In late 1995 the 4 CM 1500 appeared for sale as a part of the Hayashi Maserati

collection at Talacrest Ltd, in Egham, Surrey and ended up since August 1996 in

our Cavallino collection.

It retaines its original frame # 1525, its original engine which is correctly

stamped as # 1525 and its original Maserati gearbox while it received a number

of usual period modifications.
