Comments:

As always we are very proud to offer one of the very first 250 Europa GT made.

It is the third car made by Ferrari of only 35 cars in total. The Europa GT is the

first Ferrari road car which already received the new Colombo designed 250 GT

3000ccm engine while the predecessor was still equipped with the Lampredi

designed and constructed bigger block 250 engine. By this the new Europa GT

received a 2600 cm wheelbase, just 20 cm shorter than the 250 Europa, which

makes it easier by cornering especially in the mountains or by rallying.

The Ferrari 250 Europa GT was originally delivered trough Paola Ferrari to Mirko

Landini, a resident in Bologna/Italy.

Later in the early sixties it was exported to the US finding a new home with J.

McCoy, resident in Missouri/USA.

In 1989 it returned again to Europe to be part of the most famous Albert Obrist

collection in Switzerland. We do have nice photos of the original

and unrestored car when it arrived at the custom station in Berne/Switzerland.

Mr. Obrist commisioned a complete nut and bolt restoration at Fantuzzi in Italy.

In their hands the car was completely dismanteled and restored to as new

condition.

The car changed hands again when Obrist has been forced to sell his

famous and wonderful collection to Bernie Ecclestone who sold it again in 2007

at the RM London Battersea auction to a new Mexican based owner and well

known collector Lorenzo Zambrano.

In 2011 we discovered # 0361 being on sale again through Steven Tillack in

Redondo Beach/CA, USA, who had it consigned by Lorenzo Zambrano. After

having checked the cars condition as always we decided to purchase it and

bringing it back to Germany where it found a new home with the last

experienced and serious collector of Italian Sportscars who kept it

until today.

The last owner spent a fortune to have it technically developed into a

condition to drive it frequently and using it as a participant of rallyes like the

Mille Miglia. By this the engine was rebuilt by one of the famous engine and

restoration workshops in Italy at Officina Toni Auto, Via Abetone inferioe e 41,

Maranello, just outside or opposite of the Ferrari factory.

The accompanying archive file is showing quite an amount of invoices and

restoration receipts starting from 2011 until 2025.

The Europa GT today is in near to new condition, wonderful paint job and

chrome, a fantastically restored dahboard, beautiful blue textile interior with

newly fabricated Tour de France rallye seats, very clean and detailed engine

compartment.

The latest testdrives have shown a masterpiece of the early glory of Ferraris

road car production. It runs and drives like it should, a real pleasure to sit

behind the steering and listening to the wonderful engine sound.

This is real passion to own, keep and taking care of such an important piece of

Ferraris history.
