We are proud to offer the Lamborghini Miura P 400 which has been |
produced in the Lamborghini factory in 1968. |
The car benefited from a complete restoration in the last few years. It received a
perfect new paint job having chosen a dark blue metallic contrasting to the new
upholstery in beige. The complete technique has been overhauled in one of the
known Lamborghini workshops in 2016 documented by an amount of records. |
The latest compression test from March 2017 made in our workshop has brought
the best results possible to achieve. This was documented as well on a recent
test drive when we learned how fast a well done engine accelerates. On and on it
is amazing how fast an early Miura P 400 could be, it shows tremendous power
and as well wonderful handling thanks to the new suspension and overhauled
brake system. This car is really a fun to look at and especially to feel it on the
road - wonderful. |
The history of its development shows different stages which ended up with the
last edition known as the Miura SV. The Miura P 400 was the first having had the
best weight thanks to its very light frame. The Lamborghini factory confirms that
not more than 275 cars have been produced from beginning of 1967 until nearly
end of 1968 when the new Miura P 400 S was launched. |
The Miura was the new rival for Ferrari in the sportscar market in the late sixties
and early seventies. The chief engineer Gian Paolo Dallara had developed the
first mid engine sportscar for the road, showing the new technique and a
dramatic design which forced Enzo Ferrari to react years later with the
Ferrari 365 GT/4 BB. |
The Miura will always be "the" main icon in the sportscar world. |
