The Dino 308 GT/4 on offer has been delivered in Belgium to its first owner

who kept the car until 2000 when he sold it to the second and last owner. The
|
|
first owner bought the car on the 19th of November 1980 which is stated by the
|
|
bill of sale which is part of the extraordinary large file which comes with the car.
|
|
The first owner collected all the service and maintenance records within the 20
|
|
years of his ownership. Most of the services have been carried out at Garage
|
|
Bruyninx Nv which had supplied the car to the first owner. Beside having the
|
|
service records the car has still its service book confirming all the services having
|
|
been carried out. The Dino 308 GT4 changed hands with a recorded mileage of
|
|
99 550 km.

The second owner decided after a couple of years of using it to start a nut and
|
|
bolt restoration which is hardly to believe. The restoration started in 2007 and
|
|
it was finished in 2009. Most of the work on the mechanics has been done at
|
|
the well known company Gipimotors in Bruxelles while the bodywork and the
|
|
interior have been carried out at famous companies in Italy to receive the
|
|
best possible result.

When we have gone through the file we have been more than amazed. The
|
|
mechanical work has been done perfectly including an engine and gearbox
|
|
rebuilt, fully rebuilt suspension and brakes, new fuel and water hoses and as
|
|
well a new wiring harness. The result is a Dino 308 GT/4 which is mechanically in
|
|
absolutely new condition which will be confirmed by a test drive. It definitely runs
|
|
and drives like having bought it new at Ferrari in its early days. The work has
|
|
been carried out to convince the most critical enthusiast. Only the mechanical
|
|
work has exceeded costs of 165.000,- € documented by the bills. Beside the
|
|
mechanical work the interior and paint job have exceeded another 40.000,- €
|
|
easily. We never had the chance to offer a Dino 308 GT 4 which has been
|
|
restored in this way. And I guess it will take some time to find or receive a
|
|
similar Ferrari Dino 308 GT4.
