The Daytona on offer has been originally delivered to the USA and went through |
the MCM Modern Classic Motors, Reno, Nevada which was the early
Ferrari dealership of Bill Harrah. The original specification was Giallo Fly with
Nero hide. |
It left the US into direction Switzerland in the late eighties where it was part of
one of the most well known car collection. We were able to purchase
the car around 2003 and sold it short time later to a private individual in
Germany. The last German owner kept it for the next 12 years always perfectly
maintained in this time at one of the most recommended Ferrari mechanics in
Germany. The car is accompanied by a file of bills documenting the work which
has been carried out over the years. |
We confirm that the car still has its original interior and carpets in fantastic |
condition. The original mouse hair on the dashboard is still in original condition
and reflects the 53 000 mls which are shown on the speedo. |
The engine compartment is nicely detailed after the engine has been taken
apart recently. It is equipped with the 7 1/2 Zoll Borrani wire wheels in the front
and rear as delivered in 1973. And we are able to affirm as well that it runs and
drives very precise not having any vibration from the drivetrain. |
The gearbox shifts perfectly knowing that it just has been completely rebuilt in
2014. The engine produces lots of torque having a perfect result on the last
compresssion leak down test. |
The Daytona is the last classic front engine supercar made at the works.
It combines a dramatic design with the 352 BHP 4 ohc engine topped with the
6 Weber carburettors which gives us even compared to modern cars the
impression of its furious power.
The car comes with a German title. |
