The car has been delivered originally in Italy through Crepaldi Automobili to its |
first Milano based owner Conti Rag. Antonio in 1967 which is shown by its early
Italian paperwork. It was ordered in its beautiful colour combination as Azzurro
with Beige interior. It was then sold to a person in Torino who later sold it to
Kenneth Johnson-Stuart who brought it to the Chicago area. Johnson-Stuart later
stored it in a garage at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for 7 to 8 years during which
time is was not driven. |
In late 1982 it was sold to Joe Marchetti's International Auto LTD, Chicago,
Illinois, USA. It found a new home with Dr. James Holland who purchased it on
January 12th in 1983 showing 33 917 km on the odometer.. Up from this
point the archive file for this 330 GTC shows an enormous amount of service
and maintenance records until March 2019. |
After 12 years of ownership Dr. Holland found the decision to sell it to the next
enthusiast Dr. Stanley J. Opella living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in
September 1995. In this time the odometer has shown a mileage of 48 637 km. |
It changed hands the last time in the US when it was bought by Dr. Robert
Destanislao in late 2001 with a confirmed mileage of 60212 km.Two years later
we had discovered this 330 GTC while we were visiting the Cavallino Ferrari event
in Florida. Short time later we got the chance to buy it and shipped it back to
Europe. |
In 2005 it was bought by its new Vienna based owner Dipl. Ing. Rudolf Schraml
who was known for his passion for cars and especially for Ferrari being in the
same time the proud owner of a beautiful red Ferrari 275 GTS. Dipl.Ing. Rudolf
Schraml was as well known as one of the famous participants of the Ennstal
Classic Rallye in Austria having managed to win the race more than once. Due to
his more and more visible health problems Dipl. Ing Schraml was forced to sell
his beloved 330 GTC to its last owner in 2008 who has frequently used it by
ralleying. Today it shows an overall mileage of 82 150 km. |
In 2008 it received its Certificazione di Autenticita by Ferrari confirming its
original colour combination as Azzurro 19278 M IT. with Pelle Beige VM 3218
and even more important confirming its original engine and gearbox being
stamped correctly with its original numero interna. |
Our new 330 GTC has been maintained and serviced over a period of near to 40
years which is documented by its large archive file. It had very few long term
owners who obviously have taken care of this thoroughbred. The overall mileage
is confimerd by millions of bills and service records. The car shows today an
original and mostly unrestored car which drives very well. |
If someone is looking for history and originality this is the 330 GTC to go for. |
The Ferrari 330 GTC is one of the best driving classic Ferrari out of the sixties. It
benfitted of the most important new developments done by Ferrari. It received
the new 4000 ccm and 300 bhp engine, the 5- Speed gearbox which was
mounted as a trans axle system, independent front and rear suspension and all
around disc brakes. The engine was connected to the gearbox with a torque
tube which helped to avoid any vibration from the drive train. |
Having all this in mind it is not surprising why most of the Ferrari collectors are
keen to have one of these beautiful thoroughbreds in their garages. |
