The Lusso we had the chance to acquire has been delivered originally to |
Switzerland. In the seventies it has been sold to the US where it spent its life at
the East coast in Maryland being in the possesion of one of the early Ferrari
historian, book author and Ferrari enthusiast Richard F. Merritt. Later it went to
the West coast where it has been sold to Germany in the mid nineties. Bought
by a German Ferrari collector it has been restored and serviced at one of
Germany's well known and most appreciated Ferrari restoration shops. It
changed hands last time in Germany in 2005 and was part of a very small but
sophisticated Ferrari collection. After 6 years of possesion the owner changed his
mind and sold this perfect Lusso to our company. After having checked the
technical side of things in our workshop and carrying out a new service we had
the pleasure to start the engine and drive it 200 km through the mountains
nearby. We can confirm that this Lusso definitely runs and drives as it should
having lots of torque and the beutiful noise of the 250 engine.
We strongly recommend to any Lusso enthusiast to have a serious look to this
wonderful all matching numbers Lusso which will not be easy to find again. We
will be happy to send all the detailed new photos we took on our last trip
including all the detailed photos from the engine compartment, interior or
matching numbers of engine, gearbox or differential. |
