The Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider has been delivered in 1966 in Hamburg to its first |
| owner. He kept the car until 1999 for 33 years when it was sold to its second | |
| owner living as well outside of Hamburg. The first German title, so called | |
| Pappdeckelbrief, will accompany the car showing only its first German owner. In | |
| 1999 the registration office issued a new German title which is the last valid title | |
| for our car. Since 2009 the registration had been cancelled due to the upcoming | |
| nut and bold restoration. |
| In 2015 the owner decided to start a painstaking complete restoration which in | |
| the end took three years in total. By this the whole technique including engine, | |
| gearbox, differential, suspension, brakes have been professionally rebuilt. It | |
| received all the necessary body work, a great new paint job, new chrome and | |
| rubber. |
| The interior received a new upholstered dashboard, seats, side panels, carpets | |
| and new canvas softtop. |
| The car will be accompanied by a big file of invoices and service records totalling | |
| near to 180.000,- Euros. |
| I suppose that it will be difficult to find a better restored Alfa Romeo 2600 | |
| Spider. And I suppose that it might be difficult if not impossible to locate a | |
| German delivered 2600 Spider having had only two owners from new. |
| It comes with the very rare option of a solid steel hardtop. Only very few 2600 |
| Spider were ordered with this very rare item. |
| The only thing what is missing on this beautiful Italian thoroughbread is the | |
| next enthusiast who would love to spend a beautiful summer with it. |
