Comments:

We are pleased to offer one of the most important factory Daytona Spyder.

First of all this Daytona Spyder is the first production car delivered by Ferrari.

Second it is just one of only 18 European spec Daytona Spyder made at the

works of Ferrari having the European spec engine developing more torque

compared to the US version having the emission control unit.

And third this Daytona Spyder had been equipped with an optional stainless

steel hardtop with two removable targa tops. According to our research there are

only three Daytona Spyder existing with an optional hardtop. But this is the one

and only with the two removable targa roofs.

Beside the hardtop it has been delivered by the factory as well with the standard

softtop frame with its black canvas top.

There are three options to drive it:

First as a normal open spyder version.

Second as a Targa version by leaving the rear part of the stainless steel

hardtop.

Third as a closed hardtop version.

This is unique.

The Daytona Spyder is the most interesting car out of a production run of only

122 cars made in total.

The car has a complete history from day one having been delivered to its first

owner in Italy. Later it has been up from 1975 with a well known owner in

Switzerland who sold it in 1982 to the famous Albert Obrist collection. Albert

Obrist sold it to the Zurich based Ferrari collector Jürg Heer.

In the mid nineties it was bought by an enthusiast living in Sweden from where

it came into one of the most interesting classic car and especially Ferrari

collection in Germany.

It still has its genuine factory installed matching number engine and

genuine factory installed gearbox confirmed by Ferrari.

The Daytona Spyder is just showing an original mileage at 72003 km which is

documented by its perfect original interior. The original mouse hair dashboard is

still in near to new condition as the original tan leather seats and the original

brown carpets. It will be more than difficult to find a similar interior in such a

preserved original conditon always perfectly treated by its well known Ferrari

collectors.

The engine compartment shows the typical sign of an original but well

maintained Ferrari. The engine sounds perfectly and develops lots of torque.

The latest compression leak down test has shown perfect results.

Last but not least the car has been the star of a very amusing road movie which

has been created in the early seventies which is called "The Swiss Conspiracy".

We are aware about the fact that this car is one of the most important Daytona

Spyder on the planet which will be the star of any serious Ferrari

collection.

We suggest to the concerned enthusiast to check this car carefully.
