The 275 GTB/2 Longnose has been manufactured in 1965 in Maranello and |
delivered to the French importer Franco Brittanic in September 1965. According
to the Ferrari factory confirmation it has been ordered by the first owner Sen.
Verrecchia, resident in Paris in the rare colour Celeste / light blue met. with the
contrasting interior in Rosso scuro / dark red. As far as we know this might be
the one and only 275 GTB/2 delivered in this rare colour combination. |
In 1968 the first owner traded the car with now 17 000 km as a part exchange
for his new upcoming 275 GTB/4 to Charles Pozzi SA, Paris, France which had |
already | overtaken the Ferrari dealership from Franco Britanic. The car found its |
new and second owner through Pozzi with Mon. Afchain who later has given it to
his son Bernard who had a nice home in the South of France at the French
Reviera. |
In the next twenty years it was hardly used and was sold in 2000 to the last and
third French owner Mon. Garcin showing just 31 000 km. From 2000 until 2005 it
received another 4 500 km driven carefully. |
It was sold to its last and forth private German owner Dr. Mauss, resident in
Düsseldorf, Germany. In 2010 Dr. Stefan Mauss decided to restore the car as
the original paint which was still on the car had shown some wear. One of the
tasks was to keep as much as possible of the cars originality. So it still has its
gorgeous untouched dashboard, leather seats and door side panels in
unbelievable original condtion. Everything which has been removed is still with
the car and could be inspected. We have hundreds of pics in our file
documenting the work which has been carried out in the next two years. The
mileage today shows original 41 741 km or 25 625 mls. Needless to say that it
runs and drives like it looks after its gorgeous restoration. |
We guess that it might be difficult if not impossible to find a better 275 GTB/2
with a similar low original mileage in the same preserved condition. The colour
combination of Celeste with Rosso scuro is breathtaking and unbelievable
beautiful. We have to say that we had dozens of great 275 GTB's in the last 35
years but this is definitely one of the best we ever had. |
